Our Prayers

Prayer for Mental Health

Early in the establishment of the GAMH, Fr. Nigel Mumford and Fr. Andy Buchanan of Galilee Episcopal Church provided us with this prayer:

"Merciful God, please help those living with mental health concerns.

Restore those who need healing and remove from them the stigma or real and perceived judgment. Help those in the community to come alongside them, and grant wisdom to their families and medical professionals who care for them. Bless the medications that you, Lord, have provided and give us grace to be compassionate, prayerful, and kind to others who bear this burden. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen."

For the Answering of Prayer

Prayer opens many doors. As those doors are opened, it is good for us to give thanks for answered prayers. The Book of Common Prayer offers us this:

"Almighty God, who hast promised to hear the petitions of those who ask in your Son's Name: We beseech thee mercifully to incline thine ear to us who have now made our prayers and supplications unto thee; and grant that those things which we have faithfully asked according to they will, may effectually be obtained, to the relief of our necessity, and to the setting forth of they glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."
